What does my dog need to enter the USA?

To enter the USA, dogs must be at least 6 months old (a CDC rule introduced in 2024), microchipped with an ISO 11784/11785-compatible 15-digit chip, and vaccinated against rabies at least 21 days before arrival. They also need a “Fit to Fly” certificate completed by a vet following a physical examination, and the CDC Dog Import Form must be submitted online before arrival. Some entry routes and ports also require additional rabies titer testing — your Airpets consultant will confirm the exact paperwork for your destination port.
