Why do you need the original documents and not copies?

Originals are required because customs and veterinary authorities — at both export and import — verify physical stamps, signatures, and security features that copies do not show. Some destinations accept certified copies in specific circumstances, but most do not, so Airpets always asks for originals unless your destination’s regulations explicitly allow otherwise.

There’s usually no need to post anything to us — we collect the original documents along with your pet, or you can hand them over at drop-off. The only time posting is necessary is if you’ve already taken the originals abroad ahead of your pet.
