What happens if my pet looks sedated at drop-off?
If your pet appears sedated when you arrive at the Airpets Heathrow Animal Lounge, we will refuse to accept them for travel — both for their safety and because the airline will reject them at check-in.

What can I do for an anxious or nervous pet?
For most anxious pets, the best preparation is gradual crate familiarisation in the weeks before travel and including a scented blanket or piece of your clothing in the crate.

Can my pet be sedated for the flight?
No — sedation is strictly prohibited for live animals on commercial flights, because at altitude the change in pressure and temperature means a sedated pet’s body cannot regulate effectively.
