What happens if my pet’s flight is cancelled?

If the flight is cancelled before check-in, Airpets rebooks your pet on the next available flight that suits the route and welfare requirements, and we update you immediately. If the cancellation happens after your pet has already been checked in at Heathrow, the airline transfers them to the Border Control Post, where they’re cared for until they can be re-booked. A small number of airlines use a different facility — such as Animal Aircare — but in every case your pet is looked after in a dedicated animal-handling centre until their new flight.
