What should I avoid sending with my pet?

Most of these items aren’t just discouraged — they’re not allowed. Nothing in the list below can go inside the crate, and most cannot be attached to the outside either:

  • Toys, treats, and food (other than approved dry food secured to the crate)
  • Thick beds, plastic items, and tennis balls
  • AirTags and GPS trackers — these are removed and disposed of at check-in
  • Anything valuable, sentimental, or irreplaceable

A collar and lead can travel attached to the outside of the crate, and a single small toy is usually fine, but there is rarely space to secure anything else safely. The simplest approach: send only your pet, with one blanket and one scented item inside the crate, and keep everything else for the journey at the other end.
