Can I attach an AirTag or GPS tracker to my pet’s crate?

No — AirTags and similar GPS trackers contain lithium batteries, which are classified as dangerous goods under aviation regulations and cannot accompany live animal shipments. If a tracker is found attached to the crate at check-in, it will be removed and either disposed of or held for return at the owner’s expense.
