1. Promoter
The promoter of The Great Pet Getaway is Airpets (“Airpets”, “we”, “us”).
This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram, Facebook/Meta or Pets at Home. Any other participating brands are prize partners unless specifically stated otherwise.
2. Competition Period
The competition will run for 7 days.
Entries open at 10:30 on 01/09/2026 and close at 18:00 on 08/09/2026.
Only entries and likes received before the closing time will count.
3. Eligibility
The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Airpets, participating prize partners and anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
No purchase is necessary.
4. How to Enter
To submit a valid entry, entrants must:
- Like the official competition post.
- Follow Airpets.
- Follow the participating brands tagged/listed in the competition post.
- Share the competition post to their Story.
- Comment DOG MUM, DOG DAD, CAT MUM or CAT DAD to identify the prize category they wish to enter.
- In the same comment, tell us about a funny, memorable or unforgettable journey with their pet.
The journey could be anything from a day out or staycation to a road trip or international adventure.
One entry per person.
5. How the Winners Are Chosen
There will be two winners:
1 x Dog Prize winner 1 x Cat Prize winner
This is an engagement-based competition and not a random prize draw.
The eligible dog story/comment receiving the highest number of genuine likes on the official Airpets competition post by the closing time will win the Dog Prize.
The eligible cat story/comment receiving the highest number of genuine likes on the official Airpets competition post by the closing time will win the Cat Prize.
So tell us your story — and if people love it, they can like your comment to help you win.
6. Fair Voting
Likes must represent genuine engagement from real social-media users.
The use of bots, automated voting, purchased likes, fake accounts, engagement manipulation, organised vote-exchange services or any other method designed to artificially increase the number of likes is prohibited.
Airpets reserves the right to investigate unusual voting activity and disregard likes that it reasonably considers fraudulent, automated, purchased or artificially generated.
An entrant may be disqualified where Airpets reasonably determines that they have attempted to manipulate the competition.
Airpets’ decision regarding the validity of engagement will be final.
7. Tied Entries
If two or more eligible comments within the same category finish with the same number of valid likes, the tied entries will be judged by Airpets based on originality, humour and relevance to the theme of travelling or adventuring with a pet.
Airpets may appoint an independent person to assist with the judging process where appropriate.
8. Dog Prize
One Dog Prize winner will receive:
- 2 bags of Nulo dog food
- 1 Ralph & Co dog bed, with size selected according to the winning dog’s size and subject to availability
- 1 Tricky 3-in-1 travel water bottle
- £100 Pets at Home voucher
- Assortment of dog toys
9. Cat Prize
One Cat Prize winner will receive:
- Hide & Seek London cat litter
- Hide & Seek freeze-dried treats
- Nulo cat food
- Airpets cat bed
- £100 Pets at Home voucher
- Assortment of cat toys
10. Prizes
Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
Where a particular product, size, flavour or variation becomes unavailable for reasons outside Airpets’ reasonable control, Airpets reserves the right to provide a reasonable equivalent.
Images used to promote the competition may be illustrative.
11. Winner Verification
After the competition closes, Airpets will verify the engagement on the highest-performing eligible entries before confirming the winners.
This may include checking that the entrant completed the required entry steps and reviewing the validity of likes received.
A high number of likes does not guarantee a prize where an entry is found to be invalid or engagement has been artificially manipulated.
12. Winner Announcement
The Dog and Cat winners will be announced through the official Airpets social-media account after verification.
Winners will also be contacted directly by Airpets.
Winners must respond within 7 days of being contacted.
If a winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within the specified period or is subsequently found to have submitted an invalid entry, Airpets reserves the right to award the prize to the next highest eligible entry in that category.
13. Stories & User-Generated Content
Entrants retain ownership of the stories, photographs and other content they submit.
By entering, entrants grant Airpets permission to repost, share and feature their competition entry and associated publicly submitted content across Airpets’ social-media channels and digital marketing in connection with this competition, including announcing and celebrating the winners.
Where reasonably practicable, the entrant will be credited.
Entrants must only submit content they have the right to share and must obtain appropriate permission from identifiable people appearing in submitted content.
14. Privacy
Personal information supplied in connection with the competition will be used to administer the promotion, contact and verify winners, arrange delivery of prizes and meet any applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
Information will be handled in accordance with Airpets’ Privacy Policy.
15. General
Airpets reserves the right to disqualify entries that breach these Terms & Conditions or where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been fraud, abuse or manipulation of the competition.
Airpets will administer the promotion fairly and will not change the competition mechanics after launch except where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this unavoidable and doing so is consistent with applicable promotional rules.
